You're making a difference by empowering homebuyers to shape the houses and communities they call home.

  • Substandard homes that are unsafe can cost upwards of $500 per month to heat.
  • Students whose attendance and academic performance suffer because they don’t have a safe, permanent home are uprooted constantly.
  • Families who must choose between substandard housing and predatory lending because their current income isn't enough to make them eligible for a traditional loan.

For those reasons—and 100 more, we ask you to invest in become a Homeownership Opportunity Partner.

100 is the number of families on the waiting list at Highlands Housing, which began in 2007 as an effort to meet local needs (affordable, high-quality housing for working families of modest means) and increase employment by building homes.

Our challenge is to meet this growing demand from working families for high-performance homes. We know that handling the demand means serving at least 100 households a year, and In order succeed, we will need to a fund that can provide flexible financing to these homebuyers. This fund will help families afford down-payments and will reduce the homebuyer’s first mortgage.
